Part time Instructor/Office Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Help students on their assignments
2. Grade students completed work
3. Assess oral reading
4. Other administrative tasks (Prepare for class, provide feedback to instructors, adjust lesson plans,

monitor student homework assignments, send communications to parents, etc.,)

Required skills:

1. Ability to help Kindergarten to Middle school level students on their assignments (Math: K-Middle

school, Reading: comprehension, grammar, oral reading)

2. Well organized, able to prioritize tasks, able to multi task
3. Experience in using computers (Office — Excel, Word, Power Point), ability to learn simple proprietary

computer application, perform data entry

4. Organize documents, file and manage archive
5. Handle phone calls
6. Should have excellent writing skills to communicate via email to the customers

Working hours: 3pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday, $11 ~ $18/hour based on experience and proficiency

Tutors Part Time English (Math)

Dynamic after school enrichment learning center seeking experienced English (Math) teacher to tutor

students from grades 1 to 8. All teaching materials are provided. The teacher will work with students on

an individual or small group setting. Must be flexible. This is a part-time, year-round position.

Requirements:

– Certified teacher with Language Arts (Math) background

– Excellent communication skills with adults, children and their parents

– Responsible, professional and courteous manner.

– Must be patient, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children.

Working hours: flexible work hours, $15 ~ $25/hour based on experience and proficiency

Learning Center Manager (or Assistant Manager)

Requirements:

▪ College or University degree

▪ Excellent communication & organizational skills

▪ Strong phone, typing and computer skills

▪ Knowledge of such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other basic software.

General Responsibilities:

▪ Provide customer service

▪ Personnel (tutor) management

▪ Coordinate student scheduling

▪ Learning center management

▪ Learning center marketing

▪ Financial (tuition) management

▪ Commitment to making a difference in the community and belief in the importance of education

▪ Creating an appropriate environment to support the goals and developmental level of the students.

▪ Making sure that the center is kept in an orderly fashion.

▪ Maintaining consistent schedule with some flexibility.

▪ Consistently following the curriculum.

▪ Encouraging students to work at their own pace.

▪ Grading student workbooks.

▪ Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.

▪ Including parents in the student’s learning experience.

Working hours: 3pm – 7pm, Monday to Friday, $20 ~ $30/hour based on experience and proficiency

RoboThink : After School Program Instructor

Entry Level/Part Time

$18-$30 an hour

Work Setting: In Person

Work Location: Various locations (Center, Schools, Park Districts, community centers, etc)

We are a STEM edu-tainment center in Novi, Michigan that introduces children in grades K-8 to robotics and coding concepts through the use of our patented robot building blocks and easy-to- use coding software. We’re looking to expand our company with smart, creative, and fun instructors to join our team!

RoboThink nurtures geniuses across 7+ states in the United States and 25+ countries around the world. We work with local schools and park districts to run after-school/enrichment classes for students aged 5-14 years.

We are looking for friendly, energetic, and confident after-school instructors to teach our after-school classes at various locations across the Novi and Troy in Michigan. We are specifically looking for instructors who are available during the Summer, Fall and Winter of 2024 and Spring of 2025. We are specifically looking for instructors that live in Novi or instructors that live within 20 miles of Novi.

Qualifications of Part-Time Teacher:

– Able to clear a criminal all Criminal and Child Clearances – Knowledge of robotics/coding is not necessary.

– Passion for education K-8 children

– Access to reliable transportation.

– Bring robotic kits to/from classes and keeping them safe in between classes.

Skills:

– Supervising classes in an energetic and friendly environment by following the Robothink

curriculum.

– Confident, Responsible and professional attitude.

– Friendly, energetic personality and patience to work with children of all ages.

– Passion for educating and teaching.

– Must have access to reliable means of transportation to get to classes at varying locations on time.

– Experience with children in a learning environment is preferred.

– No prior experience in STEM or robotics is needed. Comprehensive paid training is provided to the selected candidate.
