Job Summary

The IT Department Supervisor will be a working leader responsible for working in, and supervising, the facility IT team.  The facility IT team consists of individuals responsible for all technology systems within the office and manufacturing environment, as well as individuals responsible for the coding development and maintenance of software systems using primarily VB and C# .Net framework.  The IT Department Supervisor will have oversight of and/or direct responsibility for installing or upgrading technology systems, setting up software, network administration, and resolving all IT support issues. The IT Department Supervisor should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. The IT Department Supervisor will have oversight of and/or direct responsibility for the coding development and maintenance of the company’s ERP/MES software applications.  The IT Department Supervisor will be the primary lead for all TISAX compliance matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Supervise team of developers & IT specialists, assign daily tasks, monitor employee performance, manage project implementation quality & timelines.
  2. Handle all IT department employee relations and performance matters, ie: training, coaching, discipline, etc.
  3. Write clean, scalable code using .NET Framework 4.0 and above to enhance current and implement new features into the existing ERP and MES programs.
  4. Analyze, design, develop, debug, test, document and deploy Windows applications and web programming.
  5. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams of engineers and end-users.
  6. Act as the TISAX compliance officer/manager, as assigned.
  7. Responsible for TISAX requirements including but not limited to, process documentation, auditing, training, procedure creation & management, and information security committee activities.
  8. Act as main point of contact between the facility and its corporate headquarters IT team in Korea.
  9. Act as main point of contact and administrator between the company and its 3rd party IT support firm.
  10. Act as a point of contact for all types of service requests.
  11. Provide responsive support for critical customer events such as security breaches, infections, server, and service outages.
  12. Coordinate and communicate as required with impacted users; status of incident progress, notification of impending changes or agreed outages.
  13. Investigate, troubleshoot, document, and resolve hardware and software issues.
  14. Configure and support end user hardware, software, and peripherals in accordance with existing policies and operational requirements.
  15. Assist with mobile device support and management.
  16. Manage the printer/copier vendor agreement and the user responsible activities as required.
  17. Maintain and organize equipment inventory and assist with continuous accuracy of asset tracking and management.
  18. Document procedures and processes for internal use.
  19. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and technology policies.
  20. Maintain and expand IT Support knowledgebase articles.
  21. Improve customer service perception and quality with quick resolution of service requests.
  22. Availability to assist outside of business hours with projects, tasks, security issues and urgent requests.
  23. Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education & Language

 Minimum degree: Bachelor’s in computer science, IT, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  1. Language: Bilingual English/Korean.

Required Experience

  1. 5+ years’ experience managing IT hardware and network systems.
  2. 5+ years’ experience developing software in relevant language/frameworks.
  3. 3+ years’ experience in a management/supervisory capacity within the IT field.
  4. Certifications are a plus.

Skills, Requirements and Competencies

  • Strong reading, writing, speaking and management information systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great understanding of information technology, computer programming and management information systems.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, programs including but not limited to COBOL, VB, C#, and .net.
  • Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize multiple duties and tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Must understand interrelationships between all manufacturing and non-manufacturing disciplines.
  • Proven record of complex problem solving and decision making.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environment (Automotive preferred).
  • Experience with and strong understanding of ERP systems use, application, and development.

Physical Requirements and Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Repetitive movement of hands and fingers- typing and or writing.
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
